Who will win NOVEMBER??

River Day

A great day at the river! We didn't expect it, but almost ALL of our students at English in Seattle came out with us! The first group left at 10am with Mijin in the van. It was a packed van! Then the remaining few left at 1pm in the Matiz! It doesn't take much to pack out the Matiz! And after a few mis-guided directions from the navi.. we made it! It was a very hot and beautiful day! As soon as I arrived, I jumped in the water~~ oh so nice!

We played games and had a great time. Then we left the river and went to a pension house.
   B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Overlooking the river and Juri Mountain, we cooked mok-sal and sam-gyup-sal. We all ate until we were bursting!

Then we had the pleasure of drinking tea with the host of the pension. She could speak quite a bit of English, so that was good for the students and me!! 

Here's a few pictures of the pension and a video of the river~~ I had a water-proof case for the camera.. I had so much fun getting all the vids IN the water!

Scavenger Hunt Fun

Friday night. Camera. Fun. Scavenger Hunt.
Two list this time: Alphabet and Shapes.
The first, the alphabet, was to find the letter shapes in their surroundings: trees, wheels, the road, paint... they all did very well! 
The next, shapes, was to again find shapes all around. This turned out to be more letters... so nothing too new happened there.
But overall it was fun and they had a blast. Here's a few examples~~

So this is a strange story... but maybe the shorter, kids version is just that way.
Anyway.. we had a fun day together! Lots of talking today. It started a little rough, the boys were fighting. But then I got them laughing and all was OK. After that, it was Q time (name, weather, age...) and reading. They enjoyed the story.. and they enjoyed the weather dance. Please do the same :)

House Lesson ~

How about a new house??
We read The New House and talked about house things. Some actions too..

Then it was crazy time and we acted like animals... well, the whole time was fun and lots of action. So it was good.
